Addiction Counsellor

Lexie is an addictions counsellor who works from a person-centered, trauma-informed perspective grounded in kindness, empathy, and genuine curiosity.

She is currently completing her Master of Counselling Psychology and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She has previous experience supporting clients through a wide range of emotional and relational challenges with warmth, authenticity, and respect for each person’s unique lived experience.

Her approach is collaborative and culturally inclusive, guided by the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives. She strives to create a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals feel heard, understood, and valued. She believes therapy can support clients in making sense of challenges, building self-compassion, and moving toward meaningful growth and wellbeing.

Lexie draws from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and person-centered therapy. She has a growing interest in somatic informed approaches and integrates these into her work where helpful to support healing in both mind and body.

At Brickhouse Recovery Centre, Lexie is committed to fostering a supportive therapeutic relationship where clients can explore their experiences openly and work toward healing, resilience, and greater connection to themselves and others.
