Coralee - Brick House Recovery

Coralee MacDonald

Medical Office Assistant

Coralee has been working in the health care setting for 34 years. She has worked in addictions and mental heath since 2010, with her most recent experience at the Edmonton Opioid Dependency Program and Enhanced Addiction Clinic as a Peer Support Worker from a lived experience in recovery perspective.

Coralee has worn many hats over the years; wife, mom, admin assistant, therapeutic yoga instructor, small business owner and a student. If you were to ask her who she is however, she’d tell you she is a seeker.

It has been said of her, “the grass won’t grow under her feet”. She fervently believes there is no such thing as limitations expect for the ones we place on ourselves. She believes we need to become comfortable with being uncomfortable. Most important to her though, is knowing that it is OK to step outside of your box – it is where the growth happens!

She lives by a handful of mottos: “don’t let your damage define you”, “there is no such thing as failure, only opportunities for growth” and “never ever be afraid to rise up”!

It is her belief that all we need to do is ‘keep it simple’ and become open and willing to be better today than we were yesterday. The promises will come, if we work at it, one day at a time.
