Ann Grewal is an experienced addiction counsellor with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is currently completing her Master’s in Counselling Psychology. She holds additional certification and specialized training in the study and treatment of psychological trauma, enhancing her ability to support individuals navigating complex trauma with skill, sensitivity, and care.
With over four years of experience in the field of trauma and addictions, Ann brings a well-rounded background that includes working in both short-term transitional and long-term housing environments. Her work has focused on supporting individuals from a variety of backgrounds who face intersecting challenges related to mental health, trauma, socioeconomic barriers, and substance use.
Ann’s approach to counselling is grounded in relational-cultural and attachment-based frameworks, guided by a strong commitment to intersectionality. She integrates somatic therapy, narrative therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to offer tailored support that honours each person’s identity, culture, and lived experience. Her work is always rooted in trauma-informed, harm reduction, and culturally responsive practices.
Fluent in Punjabi and Hindi, Ann is able to foster deeper therapeutic relationships and greater accessibility for clients from diverse linguistic and cultural communities.
